Some individuals still seem to be unsure about the status of the CSIRO scour. The scour is still performing contract scouring from businesses and individuals and will continue to do so up until the 30th June 2009. That is unless an agreement can be reached with the Rare Natural Fibre Products Working party that the scour should be decommissioned & relocated earlier than this date.
The CSIRO have agreed to operate the scour 1 week per month to process approximately 5 tonnes of fibre. This may be supplied from different sources and CSIRO staff will assemble it into the 5 tonne batch which will allow a week of continuous operation of the scour. They request a minimum individual “bag” or sub-lot size of 20kg.
Any individual or business wishing to have fibre scoured at the CSIRO during this period, may contact me if they wish help in arranging their scouring work.
